Then a company called l m came out with their line of acid r resistant grouts and included black and an umber brown grout to their line.
Black and white hex tile with gray grout.
You can highlight the shower or bathtub area with hexagon tiles if the rest of the tiles aren t hex.
Up until the mid 80 s there were only three grouts white unsanded for wall tile and grey sanded or white sanded for floors.
Since i did an inset cubby with the same penny hex the grey seemed like the best option.
If they are you can use some different pattern size or color.
Make the zone stand out using some contrasting grout for example black tiles with white grout.
My other recommendation is to at least consider the other extreme a charcoal dark dark gray or light black or even a black grout.
It really makes the white hex tile pop.
For practical purposes light or even white grout is okay for a private upstairs bathroom floor that might only see sock covered or bare feet.
